"Life Change Happens Here"

Education –

* Sherman Elementary

o Crossroads City Center partners with Sherman Elementary, providing mentoring and tutoring opportunities for the students. Having these one-on-one interactions with students, building relationships and assisting them in their reading and writing skills not only is a benefit to the students, but their parents and teachers as well.

* Summer Reading Program

o The Great Adventure: This is our summer reading program at the City Center. This program, for K-3 students, is designed to provide one-on-one tutoring, a fun atmosphere and meals provided Tuesday-Friday for three weeks. We will be expanding on the Great Adventure theme that “Reading is a great adventure that can take you many places.” The goal is to prepare young students for the state testing that occurs in the third grade with tutoring they may not otherwise

have access to. There will be fun too! Little Buckeye Children’s Museum will be hosting group activities twice a week, as well as a weekly walking field trip to the main library, and an exciting Great Adventure themed Bible lesson each week.

Physical –

* Blanket & Clothing Distribution

We will frequently host a blanket or clothing distribution for the community throughout the year. We believe helping to meet some of these physical needs will help open the door to build relationships and ultimately share our hope in Jesus.

* Health Fairs

We host free health fairs at the City Center. We will partner with local medical agencies to provide free medical services to the community. Some of these services will include checking cholesterol, blood screening, and checking blood pressure.

Restore -

* Journey to Heal

We partner with Family Life Counseling, to provide a group for women who have suffered from abuse and trauma. This group allows women to encourage and support each other.

* Addiction Recovery

We will be offering addiction recovery, a place to enjoy the support of others as you work through mood disorders, co-dependency, or addiction while striving for purity! This experience allows us to “be changed”. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives’ problems. By working and applying Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

* Foster Parent Ministry

o We are partnering with local agencies to train and support foster and kinship families.

Community Resource

* Event Hosting

Crossroads City Center is a place for the community. Not only will be having our own programs and events, we are a great space to host other agencies and organizations events. We have been immensely blessed with our building and want to share our space so it can be used to its full potential for God’s glory.

* Training

We are working to provide training for different life skills (cooking, resume building, job training, and budgeting).
